Black Gold Saw Cosplay
The beautiful cosplayer
Atashi sent us these awesome photos of her cosplaying Black Gold Saw. Here is what she had to say about the shoot...
"
This is my Black Gold Saw Cosplay from Black Rock Shooter. I really loved the OVA and the Anime. Maybe I'll do someday the Anime version of Black Gold Saw too. She's such an amazing character. I love big swords, horns and claws! If you haven't watched the anime yet, you absolutely should."

May 20 2013Ada Wong Cosplay
The lovely cosplayer
Kizaki sent us these beautiful Ada Wong photos! Here is what she had to say about the shoot...
"I really adored Ada from the first moment. Her relationship with Leon and other RE-characters is really interessting so that was the moment the idea of cosplaying her was created.
The shooting was very funny and took place in the main station in Ludwigshafen.
Literat and i tried to create a underground illusion & in the end i need to say that Ada is one of my favourite Cosplays of all time.
The production was easy - it's completely self-made, but the "Horror-Part" was the paintings - I think 6-7h.
I caused me a lot of muscle ache, but I'm happy with the result - i hope you like it as well."

May 19 2013Yo Landi Vi$$er Die Antwoord
The beautiful
Melynda Moon returns to Geek Girls with something a little different, if you are fans of Die Antwoord you should love this immediately! Here is what she had to say about her Yo Landi Vi$$er photoshoot...
"Being Die Antwoord fans, Julia Busato and I collaborated for fun and I got to dress up as Yo-Landi Vi$$er! The set was decorated with all the news papers we could find to re create the scenes from the amazing video "I Fink U Freeky." Already having white hair and pale skin, we added some white mascara and my freeky white contacts! Teased out my hair and pinned it in ways to look like hers, plus it also helped I have a mo hawk that is growing out! (Make up by Megan Eva of Megz Make up) I made my own Yo Landi style shirt by cutting up an old one, and writing all over it with permanent markers with the drawings you see all over their outfits. Very easy to do, as they are child like drawings, and my drawing skills suck anyways! It was an extremely fun day as usual to work with Julia, and Megan did a great job on my make up. I have to add it was a bit of a challenge to get dressed into a newspaper suit as I had to stand their while they taped and folded and crinkled it all over my body, but that is just a new experience to add to my list! Having to sit down in the chair with it on, I heard my pants rip (teehee!) Paper pants of course, don't worry! But it all worked out, and the images turned out amazing. I am always so pleased and honored to work with Julia Busato, and thank you Geek Girls for sharing our work!"

May 18 2013Lenalee Cosplay
Here's our lovely Geek Girl
EvieEvangelion cosplaying as Lenalee from D-Grayman! Here is what she had to say about the shoot...
"Lenalee from D-Grayman was an interesting character for me, I had a lot of hope for her at the start, I wanted her to be a badass female character and she was set up in a way that it would make perfect sense for her to be like that, but that didn’t happen. When she first entered the show and manga she didn’t live up to my hopes, as I read/watched more though she started to get better and her character grew until I liked her and understood why she was like she was at the start. This outfit is the 3rd uniform that Lenalee wears and the point in the manga that she wears this uniform is the point at which I started to like her, and it’s because of this that I decided to make this outfit.
This is also the first cosplay I made 100% on my own, I am very proud of it and I wanted to share my start with you guys. "

May 17 2013Cosplay, Consent, and Complacency
Chances are that if you’re reading this article, you’re involved in the convention scene. Chances are just as likely that you’re also familiar with cosplay and costuming, whether as a cosplayer yourself, a photographer, or a fan. Thus, it stands reasonable to assume that you, too, have seen the online movement most commonly referred to as “cosplay is not consent.” This movement has been gaining momentum for several years, and for the last few months, has been a common topic on social networking sites like Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter. Videos, articles, and anecdotes abound about the too-common issue of harassment that cosplayers face at events.
May 16 2013Harley Quinn Cosplay
The lovely
Jackie sent us her beautiful take on the one and only Harley Quinn! We think she did an amazing job! Here is what she had to say about the cosplay...
"I recently did a interpretative costume of Harley Quinn. It's just a fun interpretation I came up with, and tried to have my friend help me with makeup to come across... villainous... hehe."

May 16 2013Black Cat Cosplay
The beautiful
La Esmeralda returns to Geek Girls with this lovely Black Cat cosplay! Here is what she had to say about the shoot...
"I am mainly an alternative model, not a cosplayer, but I totally love reading comics and I love doing cosplays every now and then. I had wanted to do this character for quite some time before I finally found the time to work on the costume for this photo shoot. I love her costume, even if it is rather simple and was already done by many beautiful cosplayers. I wanted to add my own touch - so I decided to wear high heels and short gloves to make it a bit more glamourous and sexy. I thought about wearing boots at first but that just wasn't "femimine enough" so I think the high heels were a good idea. The lightning and surrounding were very important to me, too because I did not only want to portray the costume itself but also her mysterious and dark side and I love how my collaboration with Heiner Seemann turned out."

May 14 2013Elven Archer
The beautiful
Anastasia King sent us these awesome Elven Archer photos! Here is what she had to say...
"Being a huge LoTR geek my whole life, I always wanted to put together an original elven ranger costume. I made all of the fabric pieces for this costume from various scraps and remnants left over from commissioned work, and accented them with leather accessories and bits of weaponry I've collected over time. The antler dagger was made by my father and the boots were custom made by Catskill Mtn. Moccasins. This costume is a lot of fun to wear, as I get to be both tough and feminine at the same time."
