Theia Titan Goddess Cosplay

Geek Girl Critical Miss looks gorgeous portraying Theia, Greek Titaness of Sight and Sky! Here's what she said about it...

"This shoot was part of the Geek Girls group mythos set that we put together. I wanted to portray the goddess that my name actually derives from, Theia, titan goddess of sight and the clear blue sky. She gave birth to the sun (Helios), the moon (Selene) and the Dawn (Eos).

This was a true closet cosplay for me, re-purposing my matron of honour dress and some other items in my costume arsenal. I got together with Richard Dufault, who is an amazing photographer and wonderful to work with, and we went out into the Gatineau, Quebec bush to capture some of these beautiful shots. We really wanted to show how much she loves her children. We also spent some time on an island between Ottawa and Gatineau to get those last shots of the sun and the moon, and I am in love with all of them. Here is but a sampling of the gorgeous photos that Richard took. The rest of them are posted on my facebook page Critical Miss and Retro Joad."

WANT! This G.I. Joe Baroness Sixth Scale Figure by Sideshow Collectibles is badass! It's one of their more affordable figures, but if you want one hurry because they're almost all gone!

"Baroness, a pivotal figure in the COBRA hierarchy, is equally ruthless and beautiful; a highly efficient killer skilled in espionage and well versed in international terrorism. Sideshow Collectibles proudly presents the Baroness Sixth Scale figure, the newest addition to our growing collection of COBRA operatives. Well-armed and fitted with a black fabric bodysuit and detailed body armor, Cobra Commander's right hand woman stands as one of COBRA's chief architects of terror."

Sansa Stark Game of Thrones Cosplay

Geek Girl Evie E did an amazing job on her Sansa Stark cosplay! We saw her at Fan Expo recently in this cosplay and it is just as stunning in person, here's what she said...

"Sansa Stark started to grow on me in season two of Game of Thrones, and honestly rewatching the show I even sort of like her in season one. The sympathy the character makes me feel, I just really love and care about her (and honestly I shouldn’t get this attached, I mean it’s Game of Thrones, but it’s a little late for that.) One of my favorite outfits she wears is the dress she wears during the Battle at the Black Water, her hair from that episode is much easier to do, and she has so many good moments in that episode."

Interview with Jenn Batt (Custom Dolls)

Interview by: Geek Girl Princess Nightmare

As everyone has probably figured out by now I have quite a thing for Alice, especially American McGee's Alice. I also collect dolls and am learning little bits of customization from meeting new people. I was in a doll group and encountered an amazing girl Jenn who makes custom dolls and had done a very cool Alice doll. We started talking and I thought she was fantastic! So I thought I would share her with you!

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Cake

Another awesome nerdy cake by Nerdache Cakes! This one is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker themed...

"Made for a 1st Birthday, the boat itself is kid-friendly vanilla/white chocolate chip cake with vanilla and almond buttercream, a layer of crushed sugar cookies and lots of white chocolate ganache. The front of the ship (The King of Red Lions) is carved foam and chocolate. Link and Zelda are 8" inch fondant figures. The mast is fun- it's the first time I've mixed papercraft and cake! Two of my fav things to do! There are dozens of rolled fondant waves that match the games smooth art style."
