Ryuko from Kill la Kill Cosplay

Cosplayer Khainsaw looks just perfect as Ryuko from the anime Kill la Kill! Here's what she said about her cosplay...

"Hi! My cosplay name is Khainsaw, and this is my first submission on Geek Girls ever! I did Life Fiber Sync Matoi Ryuko from the anime Kill La Kill for a convention down in Tucson called Con-Nichiwa. I wasn't originally going to do this version of Senketsu because it is skimpy! My friends kept suggesting I do it, but I guess I was nervous. I decided to cosplay her in regular Senketsu, and decided that if I liked being her, I'd do the transformed version. So I cosplayed her regular Senketsu last January, and it was the funnest cosplay I had done! I started working on this version right away. The scissor blade was made by me with the help of a friend, it was the first wood working project I have done, it took a very long time but I love the way it came out. Fun fact: my flashcards from my German class are sewn into the pleats of the skirt. Photographer is John Leman Jr., I love working with him, he is awesome! "

Genderswapped Batman Villain Designs II

Artist and fan of the site Zack Brown sent us his second set of awesome designs for these genderswapped Batman villains (you can see the first set here)! Also be sure to check out his tubmblr!! Here's a little about him from his website...

"...In my spare time I enjoy nothing more than painting portraits and drawing cartoon/comic characters. This all stems from the love of Batman that was instilled in me by my Grandfather from a very young age. Batman was my introduction to comics, cartoons, film and any other medium super heroes may occupy. I have been drawing since I was 4 or 5 years old and the first thing I ever drew was, you guessed it, Batman. My interests have changed very little since then, only my talent and skill have evolved. My dream is to one day work for Marvel or DC Comics and draw classic and new characters that will interest and inspire young, aspiring artists out there; as well as to entertain! I love creating new pieces and am up for any challenge a new commission may bring..."

Dad Makes LEGO Batmobile for Daughter!

One of our readers, Sam Gras: Cosplay Dad sent us his recent LEGO Batmobile (be sure to go give it a vote to make it a real LEGO set!) project he started for his daughter...

"My name is Sam and I am the father of the coolest little geek girl. Tiz is 4 years old and loves all things Batman. Her favorite characters are Harley, Posion Ivy and Robin. We have attended NYCC in full Costume- I was dress as Batman and she went as Robin.

Being a geek father its fun to watch her geek out. I find that her imagination helps me be more creative. I have made her her own Robin action figure, drawn pictures of her fighting alongside the Teen Titans and so much more.

Most recently she asked me to make a LEGO Batmobile for Batman and Robin to ride in together. I could have easily made a generic Batmobile but where is the fun in that. therefore I decided to make the most icon Batmobile of all times, the 1966 Adam west Batmobile. The build turned out fantastic therefore I decided to submit it to the Lego community for review. We currently have over 800 supporters in less than 2 weeks and have been featured on the Discovery page as well as the most supported projects of the week."
