shot this amazing cyberpunk inspired photoshoot featuring the lovely Costanza
. Here's what Anna had to say about the concept...
"I have always been a fan of old school cyberpunk, so this year I was happy to see a revival of the genre in the mainstream with movies such as Ghost in the Shell... while I wasn't really sold on how the storyline was updated, aesthetically I feel they captured perfectly the visuals of the source material and I was inspired to do something along those lines myself, especially since a lot of cyberpunk novels featured strong and complex female characters.
The main inspiration was Molly Millions, a recurring presence in William Gibson's work and one of my favourites: in the books she is described as a bodyguard/merch who had extensive enhancements, including retractile razor-sharp nails and permanent eyevisors. We wanted to capture both how badass but also how feminine a character like that could look, something that wasn't done in movie adaptations such as Jhonny Mnemonic.
Background choice and styling were influeced by the fact that she was mainly featured in the Sprawl novels, set in a futuristic Chiba City in Japan."
