Officer Caitlyn Cosplay

Mao-chan. Here's what she had to say about the cosplay...
"My number one rule when I start on a project is to pick something I know about. Being from anime, manga, movie or video game, I always choose something I can bind to. I have been playing League of Legends for about 2 years. I really enjoy that game! Maybe even a little bit too much...anyway. It has always been clear in my mind that I would cosplay a character from it. My initial choice was Ahri...but seeing how many Ahris there was out there, I thought I could pick something more "original". Caitlyn being one of the main character I play, I decided to cosplay her =). I always use the Officer skin when playing, so it was obvious for me that I would cosplay that version of her.
Apart from the boots, everything you see is hand made, even the pattern. I took a lot of artistic liberty for that cosplay. First of all the fabric. I didn't liked the pale blue they used for her outfit, so I bought a more vibrant one. I looked for a fabric that would be suited for a real uniform and I am very pleased with how this one turned out. Then there was the hat. Caitlyn's style is very "cartoonish" in League...i decided to shorten the hat to make it more realistic. I found an old military cap and modified it into my police officer one. =) You can find pictures of the process on my page <3. The gun is what I am most proud of. It has an electric system in it and the gear can light just by turning on a switch =3. It's made of pvc, wood and foam. I covered the whole thing in modpodge, then plaster and paint.
The only appearance of Officer Caitlyn was at Anime North. But I am planning to wear it at Otakuthon and maybe more...<3"
