"I'm Carnelian Cosplay, a 21-year-old North Carolina-based cosplayer who went to her first convention in March 2015. Since then I've learned so much about making costumes and props, and when Star Wars: The Force Awakens came out (on my 20th birthday -- it was fate!) I just knew that I had to cosplay Rey. I've always loved Star Wars and Rey is the strong, resourceful, badass heroine my heart needed."
