"My partner and I love to dress up. He's such a good sport and so theatrical. When Comic Con came to Perth, Western Australia, we were determined to attend in costume. Mark is a big fan of Green Arrow and I think they have a lot in common as characters, well the good parts that is. His costume was a big hit as he was constantly stopped for photos. That left me with finding a costume. Who matches the Green Arrow but his crime fighting wife?
Black Canary is quite probably my favourite super-heroine. She's a martial arts expert, quick as a whip, intelligent and drop dead sexy. The costume was the easiest cosplay I have ever attempted and it certainly helped that I stand at the same height and have the same colouring as her.
When I posted photos online from comic con a photographer I had previously worked with expressed interest in photographing the pair of us. Of course I said yes, any chance to portray the bad-ass Canary. So these are the results."
