Cosplay Sisters did this amazing group cosplay together of classic horror femme fatales, Morticia Addams, Bride of Frankenstein and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark! Here's what the each had to say...
"We don’t think we have ever been so excited to do a set together than we were with doing these classic Horror Femmes. These ladies are the epitome of female badassery. They are sexy and they know it - they are confident and do exactly what they want. We started cosplaying together about 5 years ago now. We are actually all sisters – for real. Each with our own various talents is what makes our cosplays really come together– without each other we would each be missing parts of our cosplays. Being able to make these cosplays from scratch and having them fit us so perfectly is that final bit we needed to really become those femme fatales.
Marisa –
Everything about Elvira is me – I love how sexy she is and yet so funny and has so many quips. I’m not good at the whole posing and being sexy thing when it comes to cosplays so with the jovial nature of Elvira it just felt right. I felt good and I felt like myself and her at the same time. Definitely one of my favourites now.
Stef –
We grew up watching the Addams family every weekend/day. Morticia is adored by Gomez and has these great/funny children. She is truly the head of the household. We used to dress up as Morticia since we were 6. So now in this adult stage, wearing the dress and getting to really get into character – it was amazing and so uplifting.
Katrina –
When watching the original “Bride of Frankenstein” again just made me love her even more. She was created with one purpose and yet when it comes to it she is still her own woman. It’s sad and lovely all at the same time. #girlpower To make the fabric for this costume took some time and then making the dress it was such an involved process but made the finished product that much more amazing when I put it on and became her.
Female empowerment is a big thing for us as a family of 3 sisters; these 3 ladies of horror are the epitome and embodiment or all things female. It was just so much fun and and so effortless to get into the character of these three ladies!"
