Bellatrix: Azkaban Incarcerous Cosplay
Geek Girl Princess Nightmare
looks amazing in her creative "Bellatrix: Azkaban Incarcerous" from Harry Potter photoshoot! Here's what she said about the concept and shoot...
"The Incarcerous spell...conjures thick ropes from thin air. I imagine that Bellatrix being as Bellatrix is...was likely a bit of a problem prisoner. If there was a max security something if there were ever a need for not just dementors but physical restraint...as we see there is a spell for it (as demonstrated in the books seven or eight times, absolutely used by Snape, Harry, Lupin, Dumbledore, Wormtail, and others (those are just the off the top of my head situations I recall....I was going to list when each was but I don't want to make anyone crazy...haha) Anyway, my thought was that even tied up Bellatrix would have continued to be a problem, Hence the smile...Oh really...You STILL think you've got me? Which leads to the last couple photos.
I love being Bellatrix. Last year we did movie version because everyone wanted to see movie version but I have been DYING to do more of a book version. Lose the curly hair and BE Bellatrix because, well hey, I would be...or perhaps am...a great Bellatrix!!
There are another set of Bellatrix coming from the same day, Not in restraints, Just Bellatrix being Bellatrix....as well as Bellatrix attacking Hermione, so more awesome to look forward to. Along with Alice, Kahlan, and Black Cat, Bellatrix is truly one of of my favorite characters to be. I love the gown and the corset, I love the make up, the look, and as much fun as it was with the wig for movie Bellatrix (we all know I hate the movies and I don't love wearing wigs) So Book version how I see her (and her long non curly hair confirmed by pottermore.com recently...) This just made me so incredibly excited and I just had far too much fun being Bellatrix in three different contexts.
Evil. Pure Evil.
And an added THANK YOU to both Black Room and Nikki Nox for the day we spent shooting Bellatrix and other characters (coming soon!) It was an amazing day with amazing friends!!
As well as to the friends who gave me the courage to be me and be daring and have fun with stuff...a thank you to those friends because I guess sometimes a little step in one direction is all we need for some pretty damn cool stuff!"
