Anime Fangirl Photoshoot
Katie Dewson looks just precious in these anime fangirl shots! Here's what she had to say...
"Because I belong in an anime.
I have, what I believe to be, a fairly healthy adoration for anime. One entire drawer of mine is dedicated to my collection of anime t-shirts, while another is a collection of several funky and fun coloured wigs. I also collect plushies, DVDs, artwork and action figures. People either understand it or think it's weird of me to like it so much, but I could care less because I love the artistry, characters, stories and find it all so inspiring. Anime is what originally inspired me to start with my art and without it, I am unsure where I would be artistically at this point in my life.
I love modelling and all of the photo-shoots that I have been a part of have been amazing experiences. I do hold a special, mushy part in my heart for the times in modelling that I have had the opportunity to delve deep into my inner nerd. This one in particular, was a very fun one since it had everything to do with anime/manga.
Laura is the brilliant eye and mind behind the concept, camera and post-processing of this photo-shoot. Lisa's make-up artistry was just mind blowing, she really turned me into an anime girl. I came prepared with the wigs and clothes and the three of us created some photo magic. The final images turned out more beautiful than what I could ever imagine! I'm not cosplaying as anyone in particular, it is just an ode to the beauty, art and love of anime."
