80s Cash In The Attic – How much are your old toys, video games and gadgets worth?
Do you have boxes of old toys, video games and gadgets in your parent’s house?
You know all that stuff you didn’t throw away as a kid which eventually moved in to the attic or basement and now years later your dad reminds you he’s storing your crap for free?
Well as it’s nearly that time of the year you’ll be making a journey into the dark, damp, spider infested parts of your home to dig out your Christmas lights and inflatable Santa we’ve compiled a list of some hidden plastic treasures you might want to keep a look out for which might pay for a few extra festive treats this year.
So what should you look out for?
· The Sony Walkman TPS L2, the one with the orange headphones, is currently selling on ebay for almost $650 all thanks to Marvel’s big summer blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy.
· Some original 1984 Transformers toys are selling online for as much as $12,000 and even a loose mint condition Optimus Prime can sell for $640
· Original 1980’s comics in very good condition can sell for over $80 with a mint copy of the Amazing Spider-Man #300 selling for around $5400, which was the first outing of Spider-Man in his black suit.
· If you were a gamer in the 80’s then keep a look out for a copy of Super Mario Bros for the NES which could get you over $240.
