Zelda looks amazing in her cosplay interpretation of Isis from Egyptian mythology! Here's what she had to say...
"I had done an Isis photoshoot and outfit once before, but my friend Jazzmin of JaW Images Photography gave me this really cool beaded vintage top and it made me think of Isis. I had the wings and crown from my previous shoot (my boyfriend is a blacksmith and made the crowd for me out of brass). I liked the sheer look of it and matched it with a short black wig - sort of in the same style and era as Liz Taylor's 1960's Cleopatra. I thought of it kind of as "Liza Minnelli as Isis."
Originally J S Edmonds and I were going to shoot this at the LACMA exhibit, but it was still crowded with people when we arrived, and since the dress was sheer, I didn't want to change into it in front of so many people. I looked next to us and saw all the palm trees "Hey! Palm trees are Egyptian." For being a super impromptu location change, it worked really well XD And I like the depth of field it created! I've always loved mythology and the first thing I can remember wanting to be growing up was an Egyptologist."
