Our beautiful Geek Girl Northern Belle and photographer/body painter ArtistiCurves make magic yet again! We love all their body paint art and her Anck Su Namun from The Mummy is no exception. Here's what she said about it...

"When The Mummy first came out I was nine years old and the movie took me by storm. Around the same time we started studying ancient mythology in school and I became absolutely fixated on Ancient Egypt. I adored the story of Anck Su Namun and Imhotep - villains to the heroes of the story, but also star crossed lovers looking for a way to be together. When the sequel came out in 2001 and filled in more of Anck Su Namun's backstory I was elated. The scene between her and Nefetiri battling it out with various weapons was mesmerizing and solidified my desire to pursue combat within acting. This is a cosplay I've wanted to do for years, but as the outfit itself is 80% body paint I knew I'd need another talented artist to work with me.

ArtistiCurves as always did an incredible job, it took us about four hours or so from the first layer of gold to the final detailing. I will ever be grateful to Jim for helping me bring one of my favourite characters from childhood, to life. With some of the poses I aimed to recreate key moments in Anck Su Namun's story including not only her Sai fight with Nefetiri, but also the moment she puts a dagger in her heart crying out "My body is no longer his temple!" and the coy moment where she stands with her hand upon Bastet before Pharaoh discovers her affair."
