Nuclear Snail Studios created these amazing post-apocalyptic scenes and costumes. We love this genre and this is some seriously mind-blowing work, the sets, lighting, props, makeup, models... it's all just... perfect end of the world chic. And guess what? We get man-midriff for once too! ;)
Nuclear Snail is the work of Dimitri Seizef and his team. They don't do cosplay just for fun as you may have guessed, but have also worked professionally for productions, museum exhibits and magazines. Here are a few words about his inspiration...
"Born in 1985 and growing up in Russia during the 90's, I was inspired by dystopian movies and video games throughout my life. With my father being an inventor, improvisation and versatility were ingrained early on.
I have learned to love melancholic moods and end-of-the-world scenarios. The spirit of adventure, the freedom and the self-determination, the survival of the fittest, expression of primal human nature, thrill of unexplored horizons and lurking danger. Also the everlasting trace of time and the notion of transience - all these ideas have always fascinated me.
As the years passed, I have not become a post-apocalyptic, mutant-killing, napalm-drinking bad-ass. ;)
Instead, I have become an artist ;)"
