Britney Siren looks amazing cosplaying as Bumblebee from Teen Titans! Here's what Jazmanian Devil of JaW Images Photography who made the costume and took the photos had to say...

"Teen Titans was one of my favorite animated shows and, like many other fans, I was sad to see it go off of the air. It was a great, awesomely-written show with many awesome characters. Outside of the core group (Beast Boy, Raven, etc.) Bumblebee was one of my favorite that was featured. When I was researching how to make wings, she was the first character I wanted to create. I teamed of with my best friend, Bri, to bring this cosplay together.

Though Bumblee's character goes back many years in the DC comics, I decided to create her more current look. The Teen Titans episode where she teamed up with Cyborg was the first time I saw her, so it holds a special place in my heart. Her current look is also more easily recognizable and the costume is easy to wear to events. Bri and I go to conventions, whenever we can. Bri goes to a lot of massive dance events too, so Easy-to-Wear was especially important.

The most challenging part to make was Bumblebee's top. Because I don't sew using a serger, working with spandex is sometimes challenging, and I used two different kinds to make it. Also, getting the stripes to line up correctly in a V-formation was a little bit of a pain in the butt. It took a couple tries for me to get it right, but when I did, I loved how the top came out. Bri said it was super comfortable and I love the contrasting colors and types of fabric.

Bumblebee's wings and and the harness were the most fun to make. After a few days of reading tutorials for making a harness and wings, I designed the wings. The wings were constructed from gardening wire, foam, and clear vinyl. I got most of the supplies from Ace Hardware; the rest were standard notions from a fabric store. Once the wings were completed, I sprayed a little bit of white plasti-dip on the clear vinyl, so they'd photograph easier. In the end, Bri and I loved how they came out. They're big, fun, and super light-weight. I'm already planning on making a couple more pairs.

I had a lot of fun putting this cosplay together for my friend. I can't wait to try new ideas for it later this year. I really want to make the armor pieces, like her gauntlets and harness, look more tactical. I also want to make the wings more impressive. Until then, Bri and I will have loads more fun with this version."
