Northern Belle Rogue looks beautiful cosplaying as Esmeralda! Here's what she had to say...
"The Hunchback of Notre Dame is, in my opinion, the darkest of all the classic Disney cartoon movies. It speaks to real world issues like torture, corruption of power, genocide, racism and ableism. One could even argue that if you remove the animated gargoyle characters that it could barely even be classified as a children's film. I have always been enamoured by Esmeralda the beautiful dancer/magician who stands up for what she believes in, no matter the cost. Her scream of 'Justice' rang through my soul as she faced off Frollo. In fact 'God Help The Outcasts' was one of the few songs I ever learned to play on piano. I admire her courage, her loyalty and most of all her tenacity to do what is right. She may not be "Disney Royalty" but to me she will always be a Queen. Recently I had the fortune of being able to shoot Esmeralda with a beautiful baby goat who looked just like Djali. We recreated some moments from the film, but I have to admit I think I spent most of the shoot just playing with my kid. (Get it, cause baby-goats are called kids? ;) ) Huge thank you's are owed to Bermingham Photography who shot this set, to Gearpunk'd for making the Esmeralda corset and to Allan our goat handler.
