Happy Halloween from Geek Girls

Happy Halloween everyone! Some of us Geek Girls wanted to share our spooky Halloween photos with you...

Geek Girl Mistress Zelda: "I grew up in San Diego and Los Angeles and am a Spanish speaker, so Hispanic culture has been a big part of my life since I was a kid. I've always connected to the idea of celebrating and remembering the dead - here in Los Angeles, we have BEAUTIFUL Dia De Los Muertos celebrations. I love the bright colors, the music, the altars, dancing and the mythology. I styled a couple different dresses to go with the sugar skull makeup (I also have a sugar skull chestpiece tattoo)."

Geek Girl Critical Miss : "I love Halloween, but only recently have I gotten to shoot some creepy photographs. The exorcist ones were from our annual Heroes & Villains Costume party last year, we were very pleased with how gross they came out. :P And the Jacqueline the Pumpkin Queen was for a last minute performance of Jack's Lament at a burlesque show. Happy Halloween!"

Geek Girl Northern Belle Rogue: "For many people Hallowe'en is a dark time of year with the days fleeting, night growing and ghosts and ghouls round every corner. As a horror fan fascinated with the supernatural I can appreciate that this is what the season is for many. In honour of this you can see my Nightmare on Elm street photo. However, as a practising Pagan Hallowe'en or rather Samhain holds a lot more meaning for me than just terror and candy. Samhain is one of my most favourite holidays celebrating the new year and honouring the dead. The witchy photo here might seem stereotypical, but in fact many of the items here are my actual tools and totems. The one exception is the crystal ball, rather than bring out my actual scrying tools we substituted this decoration for the sake of the shoot as anyone who looks into it can see their eventual future!  Happy Hallowe'en and Best Wishes for the Samhain holiday."
