Star Wars Celebration 7 - Day 1

We got to Celebration after having driven across the country from Ontario. It was a crazy drive but so worth it for all the of the beautiful scenery we got to witness. But we are not here to talk about a road trip, we are here to talk about Star Wars.

We only really got to the floor around 7pm so I only had a hour to look around and get my bearings. The first costumer I saw stole my heart. She was this adorable little Vader girl who stood there striking a fierce pose with her light saber. A Geek Girl in the making and parenting done right.



Stopped by the Lego Play area to check out the set up. I have been really into Lego lately so this was pretty cool. The Lego Miniland displays can also be seen at a bunch of different Legolands and Legoland Discovery centres. I have to go back tomorrow to build my free mini Star Destroyer. You also don't want to miss the actual Lego booth where I got to see that massive Death Star. I want this set but definitely did not have the many dollars that come attached to it.



Last stop I was able to get in was to visit my fellow 501st Legion members at our booth. One can never be disappointed with the Legion's set up. For all our viewing pleasure was a varied and wonderful helmet display, and my favourites are always the shadow versions of the one we all know. And the costumes that were set up on the mannequins all belong to different Legion members that allowed their personal costumes to be there for the public. Very impressive work by these members. And not to be outdone, the Legion booth also features some really awesome Lego scenes as well.

Tomorrow I plan on catching some panels and doing more walking around in the dealer room. And hopefully see some great costumes.
