Vaporeon from Pokemon Cosplay

Jillian Ryan looks adorable cosplaying as Vaporeon from Pokémon! Here's what she had to say...
"I enjoy pokemon. Now when I say that I am admitting that I -enjoy- them not go CRAZY over them... aka I only know the original 151 pokemon and maybe a dash of others. DON'T HATE PLEASE!!! Though I played Heart Gold and X I hadn't really been into a game since Yellow. BUT I always adored the artwork (Totally collected the cards) and loved the ideas and stories behind each creature. Favorite of all time is still Bulbasaur but I -really- dig on Eevee and the Eeveelutions! So when I stumbled upon Cowslip's AMAZING pokemon artwork I was smitten and chose my favorite Eeveelution.. Vaporeon.
This costume build was -intense- to say the least. I used 0 store made patterns for this cosplay and drafted all the patterns myself. The most daunting part was the fin collar. I went through about 5 different materials and dozens of reference photos before deciding on a final material and attaching it was daunting. Favorite part was spray painting the shin and arm guards! There are 4 different colors in the guards and I loved making the gradient shading. I had never worn anything quite so... poofy about the neck and arms and I bumped into my fins and smacked into corners with my sleeves quite a bit! The wig was fun, and I learned to fishtail braid! This costume has SERIOUS layers and since the character Cowslip drew was a boy I had to make sliggghhhttt layering edits to cover all of the lady areas!
I was lucky enough to have two ladies join me as Flareon and Jolteon! In my mind Vaporeon was always masculine and Flareon was always feminine and well... poking around the internet I saw that people seemed to ship them. So with my lovely Flareon's help .... we let that ship sail ;) <3. For you pokmeon fans!!!!"
