Wonder Woman Cosplay

Geek Girl Jenn Marvel got together with the lovely Stephanie from Simcoe County Avengers to shoot her Wonder Woman cosplay! Here's what they both had to say about it...

Jenn: "I got together with Stephanie from Simcoe county avengers and took some shots of her amazing wonder woman cosplay at Burlington Toycon.  I had a lot of fun shooting and editing these photos she's so awesome to work with. I asked her about her cosplay and here's what she had to say about it."

Stephanie: "I've always wanted to dress up like Wonder Woman since I was a little girl. She appealed to me, like for so many others, for her strength, truth and kindness. A fictional role model who could kick some serious butt and stand on her own against villains and alongside the Justice League. When I started getting into cosplay 6 years ago, she was my dream cosplay. I aspired to learn how to craft, sew and create over the years by working on other characters but early 2014, I felt like the time was right to try and cosplay as Wonder Woman.

Since there were so many variations to choose from over the the decades, I decided I wanted to create a version that felt right for me. I plan to adapt the cosplay later on but I wanted to create a look that was simple yet bold with colour, especially since I was experimenting with new fabrics and techniques for the first time. The cape is my most favourite addition and my corset was the most challenging to create. I love seeing all the different versions of the character and I appreciate the time taken by Jenn Marvel to showcase my version to you."
