Princess Nightmare wrote a article about Costume SuperCenter and review of their Glam Spider-Girl costume...

I haven't worn a mass produced costume in an extremely long time, so I have not been involved with any big costume stores in a really long time. After a shockingly fantastic experience with one, I decided it was worth writing a small review on both the store and the costume because I know a lot of people have had bad experiences or no need for these sort of stores in the past, myself included and a good experience is always worth recognizing and spreading the word about.

Usually I am not big on getting my costumes from mass production anything.  However I was directed  over to Costume SuperCenter to take a look at what they had.  The first thing that interested me was how much they had. It is quite an impressively huge selection of stuff. So I played around and looked through the site and realized that some of the stuff was stuff that would be useful for some of my pending ideas-which is awesome because their prices are a lot better than a lot of the online stores I have seen. I had some questions and contacted them, they were ridiculously nice and helpful. So right away I decided for anything that I need a prop or something that I don't want to make or a costume that I could use pieces of, this is not a bad place to look.  Especially at the extremely reasonable pricing, I was actually pretty surprised given how many of the bigger stores (not to mention ebay) seriously overcharge, these prices were completely do-able for base outfits to turn into other things or use for quick and easy.

I ended up with a Glam Spider Girl costume.  I chose this because I am working on a Black Cat project, all different portrayals of Black Cat and this fit my Black Cat in place of MJ very well. I had a mask already so I did not use the mask that came with it, just the dress.  The fit of the dress was fantastic, it was tight but very stretchy, which to me makes a product pretty good because never know when we are going to have those days where we are puffy or things just don't want to fit right, especially if they are form fitting.  It was a bit short - but so am I so I can't really complain, it is indeed a short dress. All in all it was a better costume than I would have expected from a Halloween store type.  The one thing that bothered me about it was the spider, it would have been cooler if it had been black sequins not painted on black - something I might take the time to fix in the future so the dress will last longer.  All in all, it has been a very long time since I have worn anything mass produced but for what I needed this dress for it was perfect.

I flipped through some of their other stuff in general and noticed that a costume I had worn back around 2012 which was another one that I bought because it looked like it could be interested and then I added some of my own stuff to it, is also on their site.  You can see it on my page as Dark Alice.  Another very cute very workable costume that I had a lot of fun with a few years back.

The amount of stuff that Costume SuperCenter has up for super heroes and all different things is still pretty impressive and definitely a good back up plan for me for last minute or bases for new ideas.
