"♪ Archie Comics were the first comics I read growing up. I used to get really excited about grocery shopping because it meant when we got to the check out counter I could look for a new comic. Sometimes, if the line was long enough, I'd manage to read an entire book in line and then buy a different one and get twice the amount of Archies in one go. The first character I ever cosplayed from this world was Jughead, but when my friend Tannis told me she wanted to do Josie and the Pussycats I squealed at the chance to be Melody. In the comics I always loved Melody, despite her daft nature, her carefree and fun attitude were traits I admired and as I grew older the way she exuded sex appeal without ever meaning too was something I wished I could do. Plus it was always fun that they had musical notes around her speech bubbles. ♫"
