"I know a lot of people think of Emp as some dumb fanservice comic but it’s so much more than that especially to me. Emp gets taken captive a lot, she’s not the best fighter or emotionally the strongest person when the book starts. But no matter what happens, she never stops fighting. She always gets back up and she breaks those chains. I’ll take that over someone whose never scared or depressed any day. That’s the kind of hero I need."
