Unplugged Expo 2013
Hey everyone,
Roxy Lee here. The Geek Girls got the opportunity to be a part of the
Unplugged Expo event in Toronto this past weekend and wow, what a blast we had. We had our booth set up and myself,
Gillykins,
Gina G. and Red Ribbon Cosplay,
Lily Spitfyre,
Lovina Yavari and
Player Two in attendance (with appearances from our other GG
Elle Cosplay and newest addition to the team
Fenix Targaryen) and we had so much fun! Over the weekend we were in costume, participating in panels, entering the costume contest, meeting fans and selling and signing prints. We love doing events, it is probably one of our favourite things to do as GG and even though Unplugged is a smaller venue it still packs a lot of punch. It is almost more fun to attend smaller venues as we get to interact one on one with everyone and check out the awesome local talent.
We met so many amazing people over the weekend like Toby Proctor (Tuxedo Mask), Liana K, The rest of the voice actors from Sailor Moon and so many amazing cosplayers! We also had the chance to participate in panels very dear to our hearts such as Superhero costuming with Gillykins and Gina, Cosplay life with the girls, Makeup Mash with myself and Mark Boyer and cosplay is not consent which Geek Girls is very passionate about with Liana K and myself.
