Rey from Star Wars: The Last Jedi Cosplay

"I wanted to share with you a selection of photos of my Hero Rey Cosplay from The Last Jedi! This cosplay means a lot to me because it's the first cosplay that I was able to get approved by The Rebel Legion. The Rebel Legion is a costuming community that does mostly charity work! The Rebel Legion is an organization that cosplayers can choose to apply for, but your costume is held to high standards of approval. They are partnered with Lucasfilm and Disney, so you need to have a near screen accurate copy of a Star Wars costume to be able to join their organization. I've wanted to join them for years, because they do a lot of really great things for people in need and I wanted to be a part of that. I was able to get my hands on the screen accurate brown fabric used for Rey's tunic earlier this year, and with it I was able to begin the long road to my replication of this costume Rey wears. This is by far the most detail oriented I've ever been on a cosplay and the results are extremely fulfilling! Joining Rebel Legion is something that is important, not just for the recognition on how well my cosplay was put together, but also as a way to give back to the community and be able to donate my time to people and children who enjoy Star Wars characters. I did have this costume completed before the movie opened in theaters, and of course wore my cosplay to the first viewing. It was extremely emotional and empowering to be able to watch the movie for the first time wearing the cosplay that I put so much effort into. I hope you all enjoy seeing it as well!"
