Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones Cosplay
The Geekstress looks amazing cosplaying as Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones in that stunning winter coat! Here's what she had to say...
"This costume debuted August 20th in Season 7, Episode 6: "Beyond the Wall". When it came on screen I gasped out loud. I HAD to make it. And I had to make it NOW.
Overall it came together very smoothly. It's a simple costume as far as components go, the coat does about 95% of the heavy-lifting here. I built it with a linen lining, canvas interlining and a faux-fur outer. The bulk of the fur is this super soft minky material that is an indigo/grey near the base and white at the tips. Once the coat was assembled I placed it on my dress-form and trimmed the stripes out one by one with hair cutting shears. This took about 5 days and made a colossal mess! Not to mention my hand was quite bruised by the end."
