Geek Girl Photoshoot

Dana Chadwick sent us these great Geek Girl photos! We think she looks fantastic and love that she wants to share this side of her with us. Here's what she had to say about the shoot...
"I wanted to submit a few pictures from a shoot I did a couple months ago in order to show the one side of me that most people never know or don't get to know. I have done several shoots since moving here and they were always glam, vintage, dressy, couples photography or swimsuit. Though I was always game, and the shoots still showcased things I love or parts of my personality, they were always what the photographers were asking for. Finally I approached one of the photogs Patrick Camacho, about doing a personality shoot.
I told him about how I grew up going to comic con every year and being the only girl raised around 4 boys, and how a day never passed that I wasn't playing video games, sports, or watching anime with my brothers. How my first condo while I was in college wasn't decorated with high end finds from fancy interior design companies or art from flea markets. Rather, my desk side tables where actually antique Japanese rice barrels, the art on the walls were all drawings or high end pieces my brothers and I purchased at comic con and various anime auctions over the years, the bookshelf was filled to the brim with comic books and limited edition graphic novels and the extra decor were all finds from Thailand and Indonesia. The entertainment center in the living room wasn't decorated with flowers or random chachkies, it was overflowing with every video game system from an atari, every NES system created,every PlayStation model available to an XBOX and even a sega game gear.
My love for all things geek related hasn't wavered over the years but I have found myself toning down that part of my personality perhaps partially due to age, or the Navy, or mainly because I share a house with my husband now and not my brothers. Either way, it was the best photo shoot I've been a part of and it felt amazing to get back in touch with "the real me".
