Handmade Knitted Scalemail

 

Mamma Bones of BisouKnits has been knitting aluminum scales into wearable art for over 3 years! She calls it "DragonSwag" and it's comfy yet badass, handmade knitted scalemail. She hand knits every item and also takes custom orders. She was one of the first artists to create scalemail with yarn instead of rings so it allows for a far greater range of motion than traditional chainmail. It's also warm, soft and flexible and the knit material keeps the metal from touching your skin. Her pieces are available in her Etsy shop! Here are some of our favs...
