I was fortunate to attend a very cool Star Trek themed wedding this past July. It took place at Canada's Aviation and Space Museum where the world premiere of the
Starfleet Academy Experience is taking place. I also wrote
a review of that as well, as we got to do a private tour of it after the wedding.
Not only did the couple get married on the bridge of the Enterprise, their geeky details were on point with satin belts with original series badges on them, the bride's awesome hair piece that also had the sciences symbol that matched her belt, the 1950's satin collared tuxedo in captain's gold for the groom, it was my husband Retro Joad who officiated the wedding as Captain William T. Riker.
Retro Joad recently got his officiants license to perform weddings in Ontario and his main idea was to be able to provide geeks with an officiant who will go all out for whatever their geeky theme requires, be it Star Trek, Star wars to Game of Thrones and the Joker, he is ready to get you married (in Ontario of course lol).
