BB-8 Body Paint
How many special moments in your lives have somehow been revolved around Star Wars? For
Lady Jaded there have been quite a few and when she was pregnant, this love of Star Wars didn't end. Lets start at the beginning.... Lady Jaded's first cosplay with her now husband was Slave Leia and a Stormtrooper. A couple of years later she was proposed to at OZCC Perth at the 501st stand. At her wedding, her father walked her down the aisle dressed as Darth Vader with a flower Stormtrooper whilst the Imperial March was played. Last year Lady Jaded and her husband received the greatest news ever - they were going to be parents. Some women do traditional maternity shoots with the flowing fabric or the implied nude in black and white. But the very talented and brilliantly minded
Luke Milton Photography had a clever idea... the shape of a pregnant woman would be perfect for a BB8 bodypaint! So not long before the release of Episode VII, Luke Milton, Lady Jaded and
Emily Rose got together to create this beautiful collection.
Lady Jaded says
"This photoshoot was one of the highlights of my pregnancy. I felt honoured to have been chosen by Luke to take part as the model. I knew Emily Rose was the perfect bodypainter for the shoot too as she is so creative. When I saw a sneak peek on the back of the camera I was speechless and wanted to cry. So beautiful! The female body when pregnant is a beautiful thing. We are growing life inside of us. And BB8 was the perfect choice for a maternity bodypaint. I received fantastic comments from both men and women when I shared the collection on my page. Ive nicknamed it Baby Bump 8 ;) I really hope you love these pics as much as I do. I am yet to order a canvas print but one day I will and it will proudly hang on my wall.
