"This set is from a cosplay picnic I attended in the summer of 2014. Cosplayers and Photographers from around the city came out for a mutually beneficial collaboration. I wore what was at the time, my absolutely favourite costume: Elsa from "Frozen." It had just won "Best in Show" at the Ottawa Comiccon Masquerade, and I was still SO proud of myself, as it was only my second time entering a Masquerade.
Since the picnic was at a public park, I ended up taking breaks from photos to play with local kids, who were of course, convinced that I was the REAL Elsa. The most adorable, though, was the little girl in the matching Elsa dress, the daughter of fellow cosplayers. She would take my hand and tug me towards the swings, saying "Come along, Elsa!" It just about melted my frozen heart!"
