Ally Way Cosplay looks amazing as the new DC Super Hero Girls version of Harley Quinn! Now you know we get a lot of Harleys, but this is the first we've seen of this version so we are super excited to share! Here's what she had to say...

"I've been known by my friends and locally for doing Harley cosplays for 8 years now, even being called Harley for how much I like to add aspects of Harley to my daily outfits or what I do with her colours to personalize things. And thats because I'm such a fan and lover of all things Harley Quinn, guess you could say I'm obsessed ;)  She has been my favourite girl villain since I was a little kid watching batman the animated series and the reason I got into cosplaying.  So when I heard about DC super hero girls there's never been anything so bitter sweet. Finally dc was giving something I wish we had more of when I was a kid. Girl super heroes, action figures, dolls, even a tv show. show casing strong, GIRL heroes, saying we too can be a hero, that we can play with action figures too. Something I'm sure we all wish we had as a kid but of course can and do fully enjoy and excited to see now.

So of course I was over the moon that they decided to include Harley. I find her look in the series absolutely adorable it has old and new Harley aspects but such a new fun look and with how much I love Harley and the series i had to create it. I started with the shirt which I knew would be the hardest piece for me as I've never done poofy sleeves before. I had looked at tutorials online but without a printer to print up the pattern they didn't help. So I took measurements of my arm to figure out how big I needed it how long and made my own pattern!! I took sleeves off an old tshirt and cut out my sleeve pattern, which was twice to almost 3 times the length I needed so it could be poofy, did a pleated stitch so I could perfectly fit the material to the arm hole and it worked. I'm so happy with the result. As I had only 1 night to finish the top I couldn't sew on the triangles so I had sewn the buttons on and painted them with fabric paint so I could have the look of her top. I wanted it to be as close as possible, I reused shorts and leggings from previous cosplays and made the hammer from a few craft materials. Put all the pieces together and it was like magic, I'm so proud and happy with the turn out and had so much fun shooting in this Harley  and I hope people love the pics as much as I do!!"
