The beautiful cosplayer Constance Bashford
sent us some of her original Steampunk character shots. Here is what she had to say about the shoots...
"Photo 2, 3 and 4 were taken at the Elf Fantasy Fair Arcen in the Netherlands. And photo 1 is part of a shoot I did in The Landschaftspark (Which is a very old steel and coal production plant which was abandoned in 1985) in Duisburg Germany. It was a very very cold and rainy day, and climbing up the old buildings was quite scary. The wind was rough and the stairs were old and slippery. Somehow we managed to survive and have the awesome pictures as a reward! For the complete shoot go here.
The wrench and the Minigun I have made myself, and I am quite proud of them. (especially the minigun) The minigun/flamethrower took me about 3 weeks of work, in my spare time, and consists of some PVC pipes, random stuff I found lying about, an Atari Controller and even parts of a coffeemaker. And a lot of paint, and dirt, to give it a gritty used and rusty look (which doesn't show on the picture to be honest.)
Cosplay, but mostly Steampunk, means the world to me. I love the creativity I can put in the outfits/props, and I love the mindset behind Steampunk. This hobby started to get serious in 2010, but nowadays I can't imagine my life without it. I just love to dress up! :D"
