Effie from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Cosplay

"I've always loved Effie Trinket's bodacious personality and have been wanting to do a cosplay of her for quite a while now. So as soon as I saw the butterfly dress that she wears in Hunger Games Catching fire I quickly fell in love with it. I finally got up the courage to make it almost a half of a year later for a smaller local con but due to all the tedious work on it didn't finish it till last November.
Each one of the butterflies were hand printed,cut out and individually painted and the top was made using craft store feather butterflies. I decided to go with this method mainly for comfort and cost reasons. I finally was able to debut the finished dress at Nekcon 2014 and had these photos taken by the wonderful Photonxs. Hope you like them!"
