Like the rest of the world as of late, we’ve been counting the days until the premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1st. (TODAY!) Until the moment we’re sitting front row in the theater, though, we’ve had to stay busy or else we’d just go crazy. So, to help the time go by and to prepare for the film, we’ve researched the history of these superheroes and supervillains from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, we all know what the current actors look like, and obviously we’ve read the comics, but have you ever gotten to take a close look at the Avengers characters, old and new, directly side-by-side?
We created 11 slider images that compare the Avengers heroes and villains from their very first appearance in comics, to the live-action actors from the 2015 movie. There’s Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Nick Fury, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Ultron, and Vision.
