Being a sci-fi/astronomy geek, as soon as I saw this Planetary Glass Set I knew I had to have it! It sold out almost immediately, but it's finally back in stock (for now). So I thought I'd share a few photos I took of them as well as what I thought of the solar system glassware set...
These ThinkGeek exclusive glasses are absolutely awesome. The detail on them is impressive and they are great conversation pieces. I have fun matching the drink to the planet it looks nice with, ex. orange juice for the sun, blue Kool-Aid for Neptune, milk for Jupiter, oh and it's always amusing to drink out of Uranus. ;) There's a glass for each planet in our solar system, also including a bonus Sun and recently demoted dwarf planet Pluto isn't left out either! They are a good size, the 8 planets are 10 oz., the Sun is 16 oz. and Pluto is 4 oz. The glasses are made of glass and the images on them are a high quality, well matched up image wrap. So the only real downside to them is they are not dishwasher or microwave safe. But they aren't hard to hand wash and I personally think it's worth it for such awesome glasses! They come in very nice and sturdy packaging as well, so no need to worry about them being hurt in shipping. Anyway, I took a few photos of my set, including close up of my favorite planets, Earth, Mars (the detail on Valles Marineris is amazing), Jupiter (the Great Red Spot is of course highlighted) and Neptune. Here's my photos, followed by the official product shots as well...

(*tl;dr* I highly recommended you get these glasses before they sell out again, they are awesome!) :D
