Similarities Between Harry Potter & Lord of the Rings
Wow, I never noticed how many similarities there are between Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Now of course we all know that LotR came first, it was written by J. R. R. Tolkien in 1937 and Harry Potter was written J. K. Rowling in 1997, so there's 60 years separating them. I think this chart makes it pretty obvious that Tolkien's work was inspiration, at least in some way!
But regardless of all that, which franchise do you like better?
