What do you get when you cross a DJ/electronic music producer with a comic book-loving writer/artist? Add superheroes, a mutant army, a dash of rock and roll and you have sibling duo Sara Simms and Melle Oh and their ground-breaking graphic novel project, The Future Prophecy. What makes the project so unique? The sisters are story's heroines, complete with magical superpowers and costumes to match.
The Future Prophecy is an epic graphic novel and concept album series featuring DJs as superheroes and villains. Each issue will be accompanied by a dance music single composed by the story's characters. Set in the co-creators' beloved hometown of Toronto, The Future Prophecy transforms Toronto into a dystopian urban battleground. The second issue Omega Journey was written by Melle Oh and illustrated by Paris Alleyne. The accompanying track to Omega Journey is Gui Guillotine's Dark Matter, a techno track that demonstrates Guillotine's musical stealth. In Omega Journey, the dystopian city of Toronto has fallen to Bogtown Records. Revolutionary leader Savion Simms embarks on a dangerous mission that turns ominous when Gui Guillotine arrives on the scene. Sara Simms, the only DJ who can carry out her husband's plan to save the city has mysteriously disappeared. Melle Oh races to track down her missing sister before Bogtown's mutant CACU army bombs their studio location to smithereens!
The series was created by the superstar sibling team of Sara Simms and Melle Oh, who have been working together to bring electronic music, artwork and live events to life for over a decade. Sara is multi-instrumentalist who is known for her love of music technology and Melle Oh is a creative visionary. Their KickStarter campaign will produce the next four issues of The Future Prophecy series and the next four accompanying musical tracks.

HEROES
Sara Simms
Sara Simms is the superheroine who wields the power of the future of music. Before the Great War, Sara was a well known DJ, turntablist and music producer and the long time lover and studio partner of the late Savion Simms. Heartbroken after Savion’s death, she takes refuge in the sewer system.

Powers: Ability to control musical technologies with her mind

Melle Oh
Melle is Sara’s younger sister, and best friend. Underneath her tough exterior, she has a heart of gold. Melle’s superpower is the unusual ability to communicate with animals; a talent that she is secretive about.

Nutshell: Straight talk from the horses mouth
King Selah
King Selah is a Jamaican singer who courageously fights for freedom in difficult times; he is a true reggae warrior. Before the Great War, his band House of David Gang was Canada’s largest touring reggae act and he hosted a popular roots reggae radio show. In the bleak post-Great War times, King tries to keep the people’s spirits alive by broadcasting music, newscasts and ‘positive vibrations’ on his own pirate radio station.

Mara
Mara is a music-loving, club going mover and shaker. She has a great job, a large social network, and a promising future…and then the Great War changes everything. Mara is the leader of a crew of lesbians who are loyal to each other and fully against Bogtown. She has the heart of a golden retriever and the bite of a rottweiler.

VILLAINS
Doyle Delano
The CEO and founder of Bogtown Records, Doyle is an imposing large man with a Master Plan. Having successfully seized control of the city of Toronto, Doyle intends to rule the world.

Powers: Mind Control, Negative Brain Waves
Weapons: Cane that turns into a spear

Gui Guillotine
Gui Guillotine is Doyle’s protege, a ruthless villain who is capable of committing any crime. He is a talented producer and DJ and was once a successful showman in Japan. Gui has an implanted mechanical heart that beats steadily at the bpm of techno and can slow down to create time freezes.

Dextra Delano
Dextra Delano is Doyle’s beautiful daughter, born into wealth and luxury. Dextra disguises her voice to sound sweet and innocent to attract victims before letting out a deadly scream that paralyzes them. She is a seductive temptress with a rebellious streak, and edgy street style.

Nutshell: Dubstep Diva
Citizen Anti-Crime Union (CACU)
The CACU are the mutant army that carry out Doyle Delano’s orders. A rough and cold-blooded group, they can frequently be found tyrannizing the citizens of Toronto. The massive turntable headshells that have been amputated onto their arms are capable of shooting Bogtown’s deadly sound waves.
