"I had so much fun putting this together. The Marvel verse is my favourite if all the comic verses but I particularly love Captain America and his adventures. When I got to read about Shannon; I went "this is the kind go strong independent woman I would love to cosplay"! So I set about researching; which I found Variable who helped me work on my boots; which I had no idea how to do. Finding the right red to buy in boots is hard. Paint is easy. She is incredible. I researched patterns and asked about with friends on advice, Spandex was something I had never worked with before. Cosplay; the community is just amazing! I found help everywhere and no one was afraid to help. I was afraid I would fail but with the right advice; anything is possible. This was also the first time I worked with EVA foam for armour. So heaps of learning on this cosplay.
It has been this cosplay that I have learned how supportive the community can be and I just love that fact. <3"
