Original 1950's Photos That Inspired Iconic Pinups

 

Gil Elvgren is a famous cheesecake artist who is well known for the iconic pin-up images he made in the 1950s. As you can see Elvgren's paintings depict women as slim yet busty, perfect voluptuous bombshells. It's very fun and interesting to compare the pinups to the photographs that inspired them. The paintings are of course exaggerated from reality, much like photoshop does for images today, painters did for images back in the day. In my opinion both sides are incredibly beautiful, these women were stunning naturally, but the pinup fantasy images are gorgeous as well...
