Death Sandman Cosplay
Death Sandman Cosplay
Our awesome Geek Girl

looks amazing as Death from Sandman! She did these photos herself and here's what she said about her cosplay...
"Hey everyone, alright so I have been wanting to do a photo set of my Death cosplay for a while now but each time I was going to wear her to an event something would happen and I would not be able to go, so she had never seen the light of day till now. I wanted to do a variation of her that includes all of her well known accessories and props. I did a couple shots with the jacket, top hat and umbrella and then some with the classic black tank and hair down. I shot this all myself and edited it all myself at my house on a sunny afternoon and my neighbours probably thought I was insane but such is the life of a cosplayer haha. I cannot wait to wear her to events as this cosplay is so much fun and so comfortable and so close to how I actually dress on a regular basis, sans umbrella and top hat of course ;)
The character Death has always been one of my favorites due to her personality and being in the Sandman comics. She is so sassy and fun and perky that it makes her hard not to like, which I loved that although she was Death and ushered those into their after life, she did so with warmth and love. I also loved how her character not only was there when those died but also when they were born, what a cool twist on the classic character. I think she is so beautiful and such an amazing addition to the already wicked cast in the comics that she helps nurture the story along famously.
I think the coolest part for me from doing these shots is that I got a thumbs up from Neil Gaiman himself, he said that my Death cosplay was wonderful and I literally teared up, as hearing it from the man himself is just a dream come true. Thanks for creating such an amazing character and such an amazing world Neil! It is a pleasure to be Death for a day hehe"
