"The death of Gwen Stacy is still one of the most tragic moments in comic history for me personally, and I imagine for many others as well. Beyond the harsh reality of losing a character I loved, it really was a lesson in how unfair life can be. Growing up, it's a hard lesson to learn. That sometimes no matter how hard we fight, or how much we give it... sometimes things just go wrong. All we can do is pick up the pieces and learn how to be happy again. I've always thought it would be interesting to have a a story from Gwen's perspective on the other side, watching over Peter. Would she blame him? How would she feel about the ensuing relationship between Peter and MJ? How would she feel about Peter continuing his life as Spiderman after something so terrible happened as a result?"
