Black Panther Babies Photoshoot

 

Once Upon A Flash Photography shot these absolutely beautiful photos of babies as characters from Marvel's Black Panther. Here's what she had to say about the series...

"Because representation means something. ♥ Wakanda Beginnings ♥ was an idea I've had for a little while now and I am so glad to share it with you.

As a mother of five black boys, I was ecstatic to take them to the theaters to watch in awe at the stellar production that was Black Panther early last year. Since then, it's been phenomenal to watch the impact it has had on the world.

I painstakingly handmade all the outfits (mind you I can't sew, so creativity was key) and developed a different level of respect for the detail that Ruth E. Carter put into each element of these designs. The afrocentric fused with futuristic made my search interesting but I enjoyed the challenge.

Thank you to all the parents who were super supportive, patient, and so hyped to have their babies be a part of the project. It was great to see their excitement and pride.

To Ryan Coogler and the entire cast, thank you for giving us and our babies all of your effort. Wakanda Forever. ♥"
