It's our awesome Geek Girl Zelda in her amazing Beetlejuice cosplay! We think she looks awesome!!! Here's what she had to say...

"Beetlejuice is one of my all time favorite movies ever since I was a kid. I had already cosplayed Lydia's wedding gown from the movie and her spiderweb outfit from the cartoon, so I decided to do Beetlejuice next. I recently discovered I like doing crossplays, and I like doing facepaint and clownish type characters as well. I love circus aesthetic and bold black/white striped and checkered patterns, that's what a lot of my everyday wardrobe looks like as well. I had seen the crossplay version of Beetlejuice done by Ghoul Girls, which this outfit is loosely styled after. I gave it a corset to give the outfit a bit more of a feminine waistline and took out the shirt and wore it with the bra for the same reason. Feminized it without sexualizing it too much. I am not great at makeup, although I am learning, but I think I did a pretty good job with this one - I wanted to use my own hair, which I painted white, and the makeup was done all with facepaint, moss, and some special FX goop.

The costume premiered at Comic Con 2013, which is where these photos were actually taken. I had not worked with Mike before, but have seen his excellent convention photos and was especially a fan of his horror and bizarre work. He scouted out the location in advance, which was a not very well-traveled parking structure below the convention. He had the widest wide angle lens I've ever seen before, so we took a lot of shots in very exaggerated poses and from weird angles. Overall it's very different than Tim Burton's work but I think captures it's own unique surreal feel, I'm really happy with the photos and think Tim Burton would be proud!"
